The partnership will enhance Hotspot Cover’s medical assistance and response capabilities, offering a range of services including:
- Medical evacuation
- Telemedical support
- Prescription assistance
- Emergency response and evacuation
- Kidnap and ransom negotiation
- Hospital referrals.
Hotspot Cover is a specialist insurer that specialises in insurance for individuals and groups travelling to “high-risk, hostile and war zones”. It caters to individuals working in a range of occupations, including “business travellers, frontline journalists and non-government organisations (NGOs), [and] engineers and charity workers.”
The company welcomed Global Guardian, stating that “this investment reinforces our dedication to providing them with the highest level of support and peace of mind”.
Global Guardian maintains a worldwide network of security personnel in over 130 countries, made up of medical professionals and former military, intelligence, and law enforcement personnel.
